At the Table

{virtual dinners + dialogues}

…………

I art directed the logo and promotional materials for print and social media upon invitation from Dr. Kantara Souffrant, Assistant Professor of Global/Non-Western Art History and Visual Culture at Illinois State University and co-organizer of the At the Table virtual dinners and dialogue series.

I was interviewed for their second event “Appropriation, Adaption and Allyship” and I shared my Indian vegetarian version of Shepherd's Pie. The University Galleries at Illinois State is hosting the video permanently on its site.

“At the Table is a series of virtual dinners and facilitated conversations that aim to build community and embrace vulnerability during these difficult times. These virtual dinners and discussions gather individuals across Illinois State and the Bloomington-Normal community to dine and discuss the evening's chosen topic. A recipe, curated and adapted by Priscilla Lo, accompanies each event. Each meal and conversation topic is different, but the goal is to host a communal space that welcomes conversations across differences. We aim to be a space for listening, learning, and respecting each other's humanity.” — At The Table co-ordinators
