The Indian American dream is to achieve prosperity, success and a secure future for the family. Women accept a greater share in making a home. They seek to adopt new cultural values while preserving their ancestral heritage and language. The poster calls for civic action to all Indian American women to care for their new chosen home, together we can make a difference. The new woman acknowledges her identity, her browness, finding her inner voice, and seek representation. The word Vote is transcribed in various Indian languages/scripts (Bengali, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu) to encourage familiarity for building an inclusive civic-minded community.
